Serving our Community:
- The Foundation helps connect staff, physicians and their families and friends to community volunteer opportunities through its Community Connection Program. The Community Connection Program supports Northside’s mission and values which are rooted in the importance of giving back to the communities we serve.
- The Foundation connects donors, charitable foundations, corporations and community volunteers to raise funds through events, giving campaigns and other activities to support essential initiatives such as state-of-the-art technology, research, clinical education, community wellness and charity care which directly impacts the lives of each family served by Northside Hospital.
- In addition, the Foundation works with volunteers who donate their time, energy and talents in support of Northside, both in the hospitals and throughout the community. In 2008, in-hospital volunteers (Auxilians) donated more than 75,000 hours of their time, saving Northside nearly $1.5 million for the services they provided in our hospitals. A year before Northside Hospital opened its doors, Auxiliary volunteers were busy organizing and recruiting friends to volunteer for the gift shop and patient escort services. In 2008, community volunteer groups organized sports fundraising activities and events to benefit Northside Hospital.
